NEW CAMP LOCATION INFO.

- CAMP MAP

- All of the cabins and buildings like the hospital, mess hall, and whatnot are now located in a small town and lined up like little houses, making up their own village, complete with a cobblestone path and bridge over troubled water and whatnot. If it’s a building that tends to be in a more remote part of camp, though, then it’s either near the Black Forest or the beach. Buildings that were dependant on other factors -- i.e. the onsen inn and the onsen, the lawyertarium on the lake -- have been shifted accordingly. The exteriors look a bit different -- stone, like they belong in a little village like this -- but the interiors look like they always have, unless you’d like to use this as an opportunity to have things change! There still may be a barn or two here and there.

- The Black Forest can be dangerous if one were to venture far in to it on their own, as it can be pitch black in the more densely populated areas.

- The village itself is fairly quaint, and the stream that runs through it isn’t polluted and is clear as day.

- The ocean is definitely an ocean, salt water and all, and on the little island in the middle sits the lighthouse. If your character were to manage to venture over there, they’d find the lighthouse there as always. The lights and crystals, however, aren’t reacting to anything at this time.

- There are some cliffs that overlook the ocean.

- If one sticks to the path on the map, they’re able to make it to a network of caves within the mountains. It’s like a maze in there!

- There are several routes within those caves that lead to the Caves of Despair (aka ye olde infested monster dungeon), which are basically the same except the layouts randomly generate in there. You may not want to go in without a fully stocked inventory. That is fully accessible to anyone from the start. There are also a few different entrances to the Caves of Despair, much like there were in the swamp and the farm. One such entrance can be found deep within the Black Forest, while another can be discovered along the cliffs.

- The volcano is there as always.

- Another barrier, one that feels different, allows the denizens of Ville de Camp to only go past the Black Forest and just the first few hundred feet up toward the castle, barring them from fully going through the caves. The volcano is accessible right now, as are some of the mountains in that range, but the castle on top of the mountain beyond the forest cannot be accessed by any means at this time. If your character can fly, they will hit a wall before they get there. If they can teleport, it flat out won’t let them. What’s beyond there? No one can sense it! However, a crack has recently appeared...

- The barrier separating the Wasteland from the rest of camp has fallen, opening a new area. More information on the Wasteland is here!

What animals are there in the new location? Well.

- Camp’s purple gorillas remain. They are forever a staple.

- In general, any animal that was in camp before will be around since they get dragged along with the moves, but they’re fewer in number and far outranked by the animals native to the area.

- While there may be a toucan or two lurking around, the birds in this area are crows and vultures. The vultures might sing sometimes.

- The river does have fish! Nothing super exotic, save for the anglerfish. Enjoy that.

- There’s a variety of animals in the forest. Moose is the new cow. The biggest threat there, however, are the jackals that lurk around the border between the forest and the mountains. It seems that they come from somewhere else, though.

- The mountains have mountain goats.

- The caves have bats and spiders and creatures along those lines. In fact, there are so many bats that every 100 feet, you will run into one and curse the high encounter rate. There seems to be something powerful dwelling deep within the network of caves, but all routes to it are currently blocked off.

- And, of course, zombies. The zombies here seem a bit different, though. Some have aprons and pitchforks. Others seem to be more suited to living on a mountain. It’s almost as if they’ve been here for a very long time, even before turning . . .
